Sphere.core SBC is a pre-compressed, stitch-bonded core material based on fiberglass. It is well suited for making light FRP parts of high impact and pressure resistance. Due to its low resin consumption, shrinkage is reduced and light weight achieved. Edges can be flattened easily during the lamination process; even jointless overlapping is possible. Its bonding with the covering layers is superior to sandwich laminates made of PVC foam or balsa. Furthermore the finished laminate is as water-resistant as a solid fiberglass laminate.
